1 John 1: 1-4 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
v2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
v3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
v4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
Their eyes looked upon Him, their ears heard His voice, and their hands touched the Lord Jesus… God’s Word of Life manifested in the earth. Jesus IS Eternal Life walking.
1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
It’s not so much that we “come” to eternal life… but rather… Eternal Life Has Come To Us AND In Us that receive Him, the Lord Jesus Christ.
In John 14:20-23 Jesus is speaking and tells them and us now, that he will manifest himself to us. He goes on to say in verse 23 that He and the Father will come unto us that love Him and keep His words and make their abode (dwelling place) with us.
So He dwells in your soul and your natural body is now His as well. So, now, Eternal Life and you have become one flesh.
"...as He is, so are we in this world..." (1 John 4:17) He is our Head and Mind that we are joined unto and walk by. As He was in the earth, the express image of the Father’s person and glory, so He causes us to be His visible presence in this earth: His body in the flesh that walks by His Holy Spirit… purified, justified, sanctified for His purpose and habitation. (1 John 3:1-3; Ephesians 1:22-23)
That the Father may be
glorified in the Son…. John 14:13, John 15:8… Hallelujah!!!
