Pray For Your Enemies

Matthew 5:43-48 *43-45 

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

 

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

 

45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

 

The reason to pray for your enemies is so they can be free from what is troubling and causing them to treat you wrong.  The Love and Goodness of the Father through you will draw them to repentance.  They may experience the GRACE and SALVATION OF JESUS CHRIST… Receiving and Feeling the Love of God in their heart so to draw them into repentance and to participate in the fullness of God’s Salvation... God's RAIN on the just and unjust.... SAVING THEIR SOUL and Bringing them into GRACE.  Hallelujah!  The SON Shining on them to draw them unto Christ Jesus.  This is what LIFE is about.

 

Not so you can make them miserable (coals of fire on their heads) or make yourself superior to them (pride, arrogance, religious zealots…).

 

Matthew 5:46-48 

46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

 

47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

 

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

 

Producing Righteousness in the land… producing Peace.  That is what this mind set will do.  It will produce God's Righteousness, through Jesus Christ, in the land and Righteousness will produce Peace in our land.  God is our avenger if any avenging is needed.

 

Plant the Seed of Righteousness in our enemies (in those that oppose us).....

Washing of Regeneration

The Word came forth to wash the world just like the washing of the Word of God does to us by His precious Holy Spirit of truth breathing in and on us... Titus 3:4-7 ...washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost,... Eph 5:26-27 washing of water by the word...

 

Titus 3:4-7 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

 

Ephesians 5:26-27 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

 

Regeneration means Rebirth. So the washing of Rebirth.  Baptism of Rebirth.  You must be born again of the Spirit.  The Word was made flesh (John 1:14).... Jesus said the words I speak are spirit and they are life (John 6:63).  Jesus said Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you (John 15:3). Jesus said in John 17:4 to the Father that he had finished the work which the Father had given him to do... but he hadn't gone to the cross or whipping post yet.. so how could he say it was done at that point?... because....

 

....the Word had finished the work of washing the world in His Word.... even the Lamb had been washed according to the law already.  Now the Lamb was going forth to finish His work.... and as we know ...

 

It Is Finished.

 

Now let His Word wash you in the testimony of the Father .... the witness of the Father being Written In You... the testimony of the Son!  The Father’s Word working in you… washing of regeneration, and the renewing of the Holy Ghost… which is shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour.
