In his Death Part 1

In the death of Jesus Christ we have VICTORY over the flesh and spirit realms.  Jesus Christ has overcome and removed sin and death and the devil from the flesh, and spirit....yet His Spirit had no sin. His Spirit is Righteous. His Spirit is Righteousness and is Life.  And this same Holy Spirit that was in Christ Jesus is in us today, and doing the same thing....raising us up out of our graves of sin and death, just like He did for Jesus.  And He makes us Righteous.

In His Death the devil is destroyed, death is abolished, the law (of sin and death) is fulfilled in all righteousness and judgment thus removed out of the way, and in the Blood of Jesus the strength of sin is destroyed, the sting of death is no more, and death and sin removed out of the way as Grace abounds in His Righteousness unto eternal life for all souls.  Justification of life upon all men, but they must believe in faith that He is, in order to walk in His Promises and Blessings. God’s Good Will towards all.

Let’s break this down and look into this Truth closer:

We are baptized into Jesus Christ, so that means in His Death and in His Resurrection and Life, we become one with Him in the works of the Father through Him: Our Salvation and New Life.

Reaping of Jesus Christ, and Resting in His Works.  The Promises of the Father, and the Blessings and Benefits of Jesus’ Blood Reconciles us to the Father.  His Life is become our New Life.

This is a long passage of scripture but much value is here to digest, so let’s read it...
Romans 6:1-7  v1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?   v2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?   v3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

So let’s stop here for a second before going further with this scripture....  So in being baptized unto Jesus Christ, we are made one with His death...meaning we are no longer to live in fear of sin or death or the devil, but rather alive unto God through the Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord.  In the Righteousness of Jesus Christ we abide in the Love of God and His Peace.  In His Blood we are reconciled back to the Father!  A New Life...Born of God.  Born from above of His Word and Holy Spirit.

Jesus took on our sin and died our death on the cross, and tasted of death (separation from the Father) FOR US.  HE PAID OUR DEBT OF SIN BY HIS BLOOD.  So why do many still live in fear?  Because they do not understand nor know the truth of what Jesus’ death means for them.  They know the words, but not the power.  (2 Cor 3:16-18).

Only by the Holy Spirit can you know the truth.  So there is a need for the baptism by Jesus which is in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 5: 9-11
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. V10  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. V11  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

In His Death we are justified by His Blood, Reconciled to God, and are One with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.  All souls have sinned and come short of His Glory.  But in His Death His blood washes us from all sin and He forgives us...eternally.  The Lamb of God takes away our sin.  He then washes us in His word and renews our minds in His Spirit, and as we behold His Glory we are changed into His same image....then we are as He is, One who is without sin, and as His Seed is – we cannot sin.
1 John 3:5-6 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not; whosoever sinneth hath not seen him neither known him.

His Holy Spirit is His presence in us to secure us unto becoming sons of God.   Sanctifies us, Justifies us and causes us to be born again or rather born from above by His water and His Spirit.  And as we are quickened by His Spirit, being washed and renewed in His Word/water....we are changed and birthed forth of His Seed...Jesus Christ God’ Son.

So let’s continue with Romans 6:1-7
V4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, ever so we also should walk in newness of life.
V5 For if we have been placed together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
V6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.  V7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Hallelujah!  So in the death of Jesus Christ, we too are dead and dead to sin, since we are now One with and in God through Jesus Christ.  Also, He who is The Word of God....the sword of the Spirit.... circumcises our hearts with that Word that is Spirit and Life and cuts away the body of the sins of flesh.  Our minds renewed in His Spirit, and by His Spirit the washing of regeneration is abundantly clothing us in His Garment of Righteousness through Jesus Christ our Saviour. (Titus 3:4-7)  Hallelujah!

In His Death, we are debt free, and the debtor who is the law that accumulates sin to our account is removed.   Through Faith, Grace abounds in the gift of righteousness causing us to reign With Him...in Life.  No more death or sin or devil.  His new law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus is working in us and sustaining us.

So, back to what was said at the beginning of this message....

In His Death the devil is destroyed.  Hebrews 2:14 (13-18)  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

So, if you have received Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord then the devil is destroyed and you shouldn’t believe a lie and keep giving place to that.  Your carnal mind is your problem and the carnal mind of others that come against the knowledge of Jesus Christ in you.  There are unrighteous spirits to deal with at time, but when you know the Truth, then you can use your shield of Faith and Sword of the Word of God and stand fast in your liberty and victory of Jesus Christ, asking the Lord for His direction each step of the way.

So in Christ Jesus now abiding in us and us in Him, the devil is destroyed. You can receive and allow Only the blessings and benefits of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.

So In His Death, death is abolished.  2 Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:...

Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus Christ tasted death for all.  Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Jesus said unto her (Martha), I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

(And Jesus spoke this even before He went to the cross to die for us.  So truly God’s word is true, in saying that the Lamb of God was slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8-9))

The payment of sin is death, so since Jesus has redeemed us in His Blood, sin is removed and therefore death is no more.

In 1 Corinthians 15:51-58 *54-56  ...Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
So, in this verse we see that Jesus abolished death and the one that had the power of death, the devil....Death is swallowed up in victory.  Jesus obtained that victory for us, in His Death.

The Law (of sin/death) was fulfilled in all righteousness, and later in all judgment too.  Every jot and tittle of the law was completed in the flesh, and in Spirit, by JESUS CHRIST.  Finished.  So that law was removed, and the new law was established.  The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death.  No more condemnation. Now we walk by faith in the Spirit, not by works of the flesh.  So the law being fulfilled and removed, then the strength of sin is no more, and the sting of death is no more because sin is eliminated in the Blood of the Lamb. Our debt of sin paid in full.  Liberty in Grace and Truth of Jesus Christ.  What a wonderful, perfect Sacrifice and Savior and High Priest!

The Book of Hebrews is just so full of the truth and benefits of Jesus, God’s Lamb.  So let’s look at Hebrews 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us....

IN HIS DEATH... HE OBTAINED OUR ETERNAL REDEMPTION...FOR US.  He is the perfect High Priest and He entered into the heavenly temple, the real, true temple, the holy place, and secured our forgiveness before the Father.  Holy is the Lamb that was Slained!!!!!  Worthy is HE to open the book of Life FOR US!!!!!

Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God Is the TEMPLE of God.  The LIGHT of the world and upon all men....but darkness comprehend it not.

In His Death we are RECONCILED unto God.  HIS BLOOD has obtained it.  His Stripes Healed us.  We are FREE to GO and LIVE HIS LIFE forever.  All heaven and earth are brought together in Him!  He is Lord over all, and Head of us, His body/church.

Hebrews 9:14-15  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
V15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

V16  For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

And in verse 16 we see that the Death of Jesus, that living testament of the Father, must be Declared in Your Soul.  His Blood speaking within you and declaring His Righteousness on your behalf...Eternally.

There must be the appearing of the High Priest and Intercessor within your soul, administering His Good Will daily and eternally..... YOUR HOPE OF GLORY....CHRIST IN YOU.  He is the Mediator working in you to purge your conscience from the old law of sin and death, and give you Grace that reigns through His Righteousness unto eternal life.  A New Law working in your member...the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus which works through faith in the grace of Jesus Christ.  And you are given a new Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, our Comforter.

This is That same Eternal Spirit that was in Christ Jesus and raised Him from the grave, and is now abiding in us and is raising us up also, in Christ Jesus!

Colossians 1:26-27 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

He is the mediator of the new testament...  Jesus Christ in you is come in you without sin to wash you and cleanse you and present you to the Father....glorious. The Perfect Eternal High Priest.

Ephesians 5:26-27 That he might sanctify and cleanse it (church/His body) with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

We come to Christ a filthy mess....so when He joins with us in Spirit, our body is dead because of sin, yet sin cannot work in us anymore, because Jesus Christ is Saviour over us and has joined us to Him by His Blood, and Holy Spirit.   In His Death, sin is no more.  Thus, it is the same for those Born of God through Jesus Christ. (1 John)  Jesus has removed sin (and death and the devil) out of our way and Grace abounds through His Righteousness, in us.  We can walk without fear of sin or death or the devil ....or anything that would try to separate us from our loving Father who is God.  Now that doesn’t mean your Father will not correct you, if during your clean up, your carnal mind of rebellion flares up.  Babes are carnal. But His correction in Grace will bring forth His Glory and Presence in you and through you....mortality swallowed up of Life.

Romans 8:9-11  ...But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. V10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  V11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Thus in having received the Death of the Testator, the process of being born again, continues....  Once you have repented at the hearing of the Testimony of Jesus Christ, then Jesus Christ comes in your heart, baptizing you in the Holy Spirit and seals you as His.  You are God’s child because the Spirit of the Son, who is Jesus Christ, is come in you.  And much more, to be revealed to you, as you know Him and He knows you.

In The Death of Jesus Christ, all payment of sin is paid in full. Death is no more.  But we may not see yet all things put under our feet yet, even though all is put under Jesus’.  He has obtained ALL VICTORY for us.  He is a good Father, and Jesus is a faithful Son and perfect Sacrifice, High Priest, King, and Brother.  They are One.  Father, The Word, and The Holy Spirit are one.  A Perfect Work has been done for our Salvation.

Romans 3:24-28 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.... by the law of faith...Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

In His Death the devil is destroyed, sin forgiven and removed, death abolished.  In His Death is our full payment of sin thus where sin once was Grace abounds and reigns through His Righteousness unto Eternal Life.

Now go on to encounter and understand Him who is the Resurrection and Life....

Romans 6:13-14   Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Be Blessed in Jesus Name.  …and continue to In His Death Part 2.

Amen.
