In the scripture that says that the letter killeth but the
spirit giveth life (2 Corinthians 3)...if you read the complete chapter you may
hear by the Spirit of the Lord the understanding of what He was declaring
through Paul at that time.
Paul was not telling them that they should not receive his
written letters or to ignore the word or letter, but rather that the letter of
the old covenant only revealed sin and it produced death, thus it would kill
them. He was telling them that the old
covenant which was of the law of sin and death was of God and good, but it was
a working of the flesh, which revealed sin and produced death, and it could
Never give life. Thus the phrase
"the letter killeth". But he
was telling them that a better ministration/covenant had come in and was in
operation then (and now) which is a working of the Spirit, and not by the
working of the flesh which was through the written law of sin and death through
Moses. Again, it only revealed sin and
produced death.
But the Spirit giveth life is declaring that the new blood
covenant/ministration is a working of the Spirit and the law of the Spirit of
Life in Christ Jesus makes you free from the law of sin and death which was by
the letter. Thus the phrase "the Spirit giveth life."
Under Grace in the Righteousness of Jesus Christ we walk by
faith of Him and His Works. He is the
only one in the flesh that fulfilled all righteousness and obtained salvation
for us. In the flesh, He fulfilled all
ordinances of God and fulfillment of all sacrificial requirements.... a working
of the flesh. He fulfilled all the
requirements of the law of sin and death (which revealed sin and produced
death), and then that law was moved out of the way, and the second more perfect
way by the Spirit was ushered in (Grace reigns through His Righteousness unto
Eternal Life), so that we may walk a straight path to the Father, through the
Son Jesus Christ: His Blood shed, and
His body (the veil to the Father). This
is a mystery which can only be understood by those that are filled and sealed
by the Holy Spirit, and Walk and Live by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the Temple of God, the Door to the Father, and only
by His blood may we enter in to the Father without hindrance of sin or fear of
death. Even the devil is destroyed by the death of Jesus. And with That Testimony of the Father and
Death of the Testator (LAMB of God) IN your soul, WOW! What A Day of Victory and Liberty we live in
TODAY! Eternal Life Now! The Resurrection and Life abides in us and us
In Him!...Today...if we have Heard His voice and believed and received Him in
our hearts by faith.
That is how faith comes...by hearing, and hearing by the
word of God. Thus, God sends His preacher to speak HIs Word that is Spirit and
Life, so that faith may cause another soul to be reconciled to God by the word
of truth. The Son makes free. Truth and Grace is the Son. The spirit of
prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.
Can that word also be a written word that the Lord quickens
in ones soul? Well, yes. That written word can also be inhabited by
the Holy Spirit. Jesus told John in
Revelation 21:5 to Write the prophecy that was being revealed to him at that
time. Here is what it says, Rev 21:5 And
he that sat upon the throne said, Behold,
I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and
faithful. If it was not acceptable of God to use the written letter any
more, than Jesus would not have told John to “Write.” It is important to balance the scriptures
because there are mistakes in them, but only because of translation by
man. That does not mean we ignore the
written words, but rather follow the leading of the precious Holy Spirit so
that we may understand by the Holy Spirit and continue in the new ministration
of the Spirit.
The Spirit that is God and is Jesus and is the Lord and is
Holy can manifest in any form or means HE chooses. No limitations. But what we must do is to be obedient to Him
and walk in faith of the Son, believing His Word that He has written in our hearts.
If the word written is by the Holy Spirit whom is the Lord from heaven, then do
not despise Him or refuse Him. The Son of God is come in your heart, and Jesus
Christ is King and Priest over all.
Honor Him. Worship God our Father.
Amen.
