The Devil is already destroyed by Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 2:14, 1John 3:8-9, Revelation 20:9-10,14)
So if Christ Jesus is in your heart, and is your Savior, then what He has accomplished is also applied to you. And when you “know” the truth, the Truth makes you free. You can declare the truth in your walk. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the Head and Authority of your life.
It is the carnal un-regenerated mind that hasn’t been freed from the spirit of rebellion that produces the fruit of darkness.
Even babes in Christ can be carnal.
Once you experience being born again, there is the daily discipline of growing up into the Christ Jesus, who is Head of the Body. Learning of Jesus Christ how to “behave” and how to treat one another. Being lead of the Holy Spirit in all things.
Titus 3:4-7 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
V5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
V6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
V7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Ephesians 4:22-24 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
V23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
V24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
There must be a “circumcision” performed by the Holy Spirit in renewing your mind. This is done by the Holy Spirit a little at a time. God our Father knows how to make you free, indeed. He isn’t about overwhelming you, but sometimes it feels that way, as the consuming fire swallows up our mortality.
Hebrews 12:22-29 v28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
V29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Thank God for His Grace in Christ Jesus. Thank you Father for the Righteousness of Christ Jesus. His Grace sustains us as we are perfected in all things, to the glory of God. He is now merciful to our unrighteousness and forgives us daily. A true relationship with God who is now our Father. Come boldly to the throne of God to find Grace and Forgiveness and the Strength to continue the walk in faith.
You will succeed in Christ Jesus…. Let Him cut off that body of the sins of the flesh, and make Himself known to you and in you. One Mind. One Spirit.
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:….
