What does that mean? It means God wants to clothe us and fill us in the knowledge of His Son. To cause our lips to speak His knowledge for that word is Spirit and Life. But He doesn’t want us to be beautified in Him just so to whore around with the religious minds or secular ones. Or to use knowledge to show off. But rather to yield only to His Holy Spirit and be about His business as King and Priest in the land, setting others free and washing them in His Word, and bringing them “home” to the place in the Son He prepared for them, in the Father.
Proverbs 20:15
There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.
In Ezekiel 16 we see how the Lord took Jerusalem from birth and took care of her and beautified her in his honor and glory, but then she whored around with the other nations and cultures. The verses below show how God is love and when He loves us, He desires to abundantly honor and beautify us with His presence.
Ezekiel 16:8-14
8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
9 Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
So, as the Lord prospers you in the knowledge of the Son, and has anointed you and gifted you, remember to use all for His Glory and purpose to Edify the body, His church and habitation.
1 Corinthians 14:12
12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
For those that desire a closer walk with Jesus and the Father, then let your prayer be, as Paul prayed shown in Ephesians 1:17. Also that you would always be faithful to the Lord God in all things.
Ephesians 1:17-23
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Allow the Lord to clothe you and fill you with His own Glory, for we are His body, and we are to yield to His Holy Spirit only. Being faithful to the Lord God always. Grace abounding abundantly in the Gift of Righteousness on our behalf.
Amen.
